destination until a deadly virus inhabits the island. Will they find
a cure in time?

Here's a creepy dream sequence (complete with original script) from
my "Paradise Virus" screenplay that turned out even better
than I'd imagined, thanks to director Brian Trenchard-Smith and actors
Melody Thomas Scott and Gregory Wooddell.

INT. HOSPITAL LAB - EARLY
MORNING
Huddled over a microscope, Linda studies a blood sample. An unseen
William suddenly speaks, his voice weak and unsteady.
WILLIAM
Mom?
Linda snaps her head up. William stands in the shadows of the dimly
lit room, head bowed and turned away.
LINDA
William, what are you doing here? Get back to the hotel!
William's words are strained, hollow. He won't look Lindain the eye.

LINDA
What?
William turns away as Linda walks towards him, buries his face against
the wall.
WILLIAM
You didn't have to help him.We should've just kept going.
INT. LINDA'S HOTEL ROOM - MORNING
Snapping awake, Linda jerks bolt upright in her hotel room bed, staring
dumbly at the ringing phone. |
Linda grabs William, jerks him around.
Sores and blisters cover his ravaged face. There's a sudden loud RING!.
WILLIAM
Why did you stop?

character played by Jessica Steen, and also the real-life name of
my wife. |

"John Nevison", the character portrayed by
David Millbern (pictured here), is not only a real-life friend, but
also went to elementary school years ago with lead actor Melody Thomas
Scott. I wonder, when she read the script or spoke his name while
filming, if she ever thought, "John Nevison
...that name sounds familiar."? |
